My review of my own two Kuschall "Champion Neo" manual wheelchairs

I have 2 of these now. They are lightweight, stylish chairs that fold flat! 

If you drive a car, and need to be able to transfer into the drivers seat, and then put your own chair into your passenger seat then this is the best option around! You need one! There are other chairs that do similar tricks but all are still harder to manage.

With the seat cushion removed, a single pull on a cord at the rear centre and it folds the back down flush with the seat, and it pulls both sides together!

The footplate folds upwards at the same time. The chair is now 5 or 6 inches wide in total and the highest bit is the tyre guards! Now, remove the wheels, (one push in the centre button, and you have a chair that is easy to get past you and its easy to put in the passenger seat. Followed by its now detached wheels. The wheels are actually harder to get past you than the chair itself now!

It comes in many colours, and choices of anodised wheels/castors etc colours too.

The width, wheel position, height, "angle" etc are all adjustable, as is the footplate height and frame length.

And the whole thing is very well thought out and built with real quality. It "feels" and looks expensive! Good job too, because it is!

It is also a bit "flexible" and sort of twists on uneven ground. Also if you catch a front wheel in a rut or hole the whole frame "springs" as the front wheel bends the frame rail back slightly allowing the wheel to jam instead of running over the object and you stop dead!  This then knocks the front castors out of alignment and they continually need adjusting. I cured the flexing by adding a couple of aluminium struts with rose joints on each end for adjustability. These go from the castor mountings at the front to the main wheel mountings, so as to triangulate the main curved frame leg. This stops the frame flexing as you run over "bumps" and the chair then feels very solid. Makes it easier and safer but slightly heavier, and less easy to get past you into a car.

All in all its an EXCELLENT solution as a chair to use if you are going out on your own in your car. It makes getting in and out with a chair much easier.

But its not really rigid enough for a full time 24 hours per day chair if you are a very active user. At least not as it comes but it can be fixed.
