My
review of my own two Kuschall "Champion Neo" manual
wheelchairs
I have 2 of these now. They are
lightweight, stylish chairs that fold flat!
If you drive a car, and need to
be able to transfer into the drivers seat, and then put your
own chair into your passenger seat then this is the best
option around! You need one! There are other chairs that do
similar tricks but all are still harder to manage.
With the seat cushion removed, a
single pull on a cord at the rear centre and it folds the
back down flush with the seat, and it pulls both sides
together!
The footplate folds upwards at
the same time. The chair is now 5 or 6 inches wide in total
and the highest bit is the tyre guards! Now, remove the
wheels, (one push in the centre button, and you have a chair
that is easy to get past you and its easy to put in the
passenger seat. Followed by its now detached wheels. The
wheels are actually harder to get past you than the chair
itself now!
It comes in many colours, and
choices of anodised wheels/castors etc colours too.
The width, wheel position,
height, "angle" etc are all adjustable, as is the footplate
height and frame length. |
