A review of the Vienna Shoprider
Vienna Shoprider

Vienna Shoprider
The new Vienna lightweight power chair from Shoprider incorporates all of the features found in standard weight power chairs but its lightness enables users to transport the Vienna without problems. The Vienna's total manoeuvrability allows it to gain access even into the smallest of spaces. It turns in its own length and the easy to operate pilot control is sensitive and accurate. It really is a very compact lightweight power chair.

A review by a user, by email follows:

Excellent little chair with tiny "go anywhere" dimensions. Puny motors and climbing ability are the trade-off; but hey, you can put this chair in the boot of most cars (dismantles into 3 sections, heaviest is 44lbs; not exactly featherweight, but as light as you're going to get).

Seat is quite comfortable, the backrest is a bit upright and can only be flipped forward for transporting. Armrests can be arranged to either lift up or be dropped down, bit of spannerwork involved here. Controller is a bit close to the armrest and is fixed; can be either left or right handed; again spannerwork since you have to move the control cable connector on the chair frame. These jobs can be specified prior to delivery from your supplying dealer I guess- depends how good they are. This chair has a recommended user weight limit of 90kg.

Despite it's mediocre range of adjustment, I really like this chair- BUT IT MIGHT NOT SUIT YOU! So you must give it a good trial at home before you buy.

I bought mine from Colin at www.mobilitychoice.co.uk - his price was MILES LOWER than anywhere else and he's a nice bloke to talk to.
